posted on by Jennifer Sherman

The official Twitter account for Haruichi Furudate's Haikyu!! manga posted on Friday a photograph of the manga's 30th compiled book volume, which will ship on February 2. The wraparound jacket band on the volume revealed that the series has more than 28 million copies in print.

Furudate first published a one-shot version of the volleyball manga in the winter 2011 issue of Shueisha's Shōnen Jump NEXT! magazine. Another one-shot then ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine later that year. Furudate launched the series version of the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012, and Shueisha released the 29th compiled book volume on December 4. Viz Media publishes the manga in North America, and the company released the 19th volume on January 2.

Production I.G's anime adaptation of the manga premiered in April 2014. The second season premiered in 2015, and third season premiered is 2016. Crunchyroll streamed all three seasons as they aired in Japan, and HIDIVE began streaming the series in November. Sentai Filmworks has licensed all three seasons. The company released the first season on home video in 2015, followed by a Complete Collection release last November. The second season will ship on April 17.

The Gekijō-ban Haikyu!! Owari to Hajimari and Gekijō-ban Haikyu!! Shōsha to Haisha anime compilation films debuted in 2015. The Haikyu!! Sainō to Sense and Haikyu!! Concept no Tatakai compilation films opened in Japan last September.
