Well guys, it’s almost May now, tons of new anime came out, some series are finished, what do you think of this year so far? This is my first year, where I actually follow new shows, thanks to bittorrent, before that I was getting stuff on tapes, without subs, or buying expensive DVDs.
So, here is re-cap of me watching what this year:
Maburaho: It got licensed, but I managed to catch most of it. Last episode came out two weeks ago, I think. To tell you the truth, this is the most stereotypical anime ever. It has everything, beaches, hot springs, yada yada. Meh…
Naruto: Well, I continue to watch it, even when the show slowly turning into DBZ. Not that it is a bad thing, after all DBZ got me into anime, but watching one fight with tons of flashbacks 10 episodes is boring. Still, worth it, I guess.
Monster: Heard from someone from these boards, and it’s great. Only watched two episodes, and already liking it. Oh, and what about them credit’s song? Like the greatest thing ever Very enjoyable show.
Maria-sama ga Miteru: Amazing series, the best this year in my opinion. I mean, I would never though two years ago (when watching DBZ) I would love series about catholic private school… with girls as main characters. I mean, who can watch anime without powering up and fights? I can, and I love it. Can’t wait for the second season, which rumored to start off in September of this year.
Midori No Hibi: Ohoho… I mean, how many shows there are about average high school student without girlfriend? But than one day he find himself super hot one and all the clichés go off in second. Well, I don’t know about you, but this show is MUCH different. I mean come on people, having girlfriend as your right had (literally) is hilarious. Can you guys imagine your hand talking, all the freaking time, without shutting up. I would cut it with a knife, I am telling you. I can’t wait to see where this show goes, and so far (after watching two episodes) I find it great. Plus main character is a funny dude.
Kono Minikuku Mo Utsukushii Sekai: Oh wow… I guess you can say it’s another one “I really want to find a girlfriend in the middle of the woods, during the night, who really is a alien. Oh yeah, I am also some kind of freak, but I didn’t know it until I saw that girl and fallen in love with her. When we will get home, we all will play cosplay and dress you up like sailor moon. WEEEE! OMFG W00tr!”. Oh Jesus, man… nasty show… To hell with it, to hell!
Fullmetal Alchemist: I guess this is not that new, because it already goes into third season or something? Still, pretty good for a long show, new episodes each week. Watch it religiously for some reason.
Well, that’s about that. Not a lot new shows, but hey guys, write something down too, maybe I will find some other show worthy of getting

Good for you that you have SOOOO much time for anime.
2004 for me is erh, very bad, to put it politely. Bought an Alfa in Jan, sold my favourite Porsche 3 weeks ago. Baby now starting to run around and getting into all sorts of mischief.
Bought Noir, like um, last year? And still yet to finish it. Bought GITS: Stand Alone Complex and struggling to find time to finish it. Stay awake at night watching anime till 2:30 am just trying to catch up and find myself all spaced out the next day. Of course baby will cry in the middle of the night wanting milk and I've got to pause the DVD player and go feed him.
Yet to finish Kare Kane too. Just can't bare to finish it and see the ending. NieA Under 7 stuck at episode 4, Arjuna stuck at episode 6 I think. Also never finished Blue Gender (episode ?, after they made it off earth to the space stations), Brain Powered (it sucks, watched only 2 episodes), Gatekeepers (tested the discs, no problem, o.k., keep it for later), Vandread (last 2 eposides). Watched Big-O until episode 13 then realized my bootleg version was short of the next 13 episodes! Bought a ton of other titles but they're just lying around at home somewhere.
Did watch TM3: Tenchi Forever, again. Was replying to one of the other threads about feeling sad at the end of a series or movie. Yes, felt sad for a day or two (again). Watched Spirited Away for like the 4th time. Watched The Cat Returns twice, when I should have been trying to finish some of the other stuff I've got lying around.
2004 so far sucks. I'm always too busy. But more than that, I'm always distracted by a new title I buy or something old I feel like watching again. I did find a great new source for anime, and on DVD too! Hopefully the rest of the year is better.

so far:
Monster: inspired me to start reading the manga, and if it's any indication, this is about to get REALLY GOOD.
Tengu Tenge:fun series, but there's way too much fanservice.
Paranoia Agent: freaking weird series, the conclusion to this should be quite interesting
Panda Z: a panda in a mobile suit. nuff said
looking forward to:
GANTZ
Initial D: Fourth Stage
Samurai Chaploo
