Well, moving it to March would at least be considered a much smarter move and gives off a bit more confidence because releasing it in the infamous dumping month of January just doesn't help at all.

Agreed. Oscar season is definitely not the time to release an action movie that will supposedly be geared towards kids.

One the one hand a few posters here have made a good point, pushing to March is probably a slightly better choice considering January and February are usually a dumping ground of bad movies. On the other hand this many push backs feels ominous in a way that there may be a lot of behind the scenes turmoil going on. Well all we can do is wait and see, my inner child is looking forward to this.

Lionsgate is pushing Power Rangers in the place of Divergent: Ascendant, which is now being released in the summer.
It also happens to be a Spring Break date.
