Code Geass Producer: Re;surrection Film is 1st Phase of 10-Year Plan

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection producer Kōjirō Taniguchi announced at the Sakura-Con event last month that the film is "phase 1" of a 10-year plan for new content in the Code Geass franchise.

Sunrise producer Toshiro Fujiwara also stated at the event that it has not yet been decided what form the next phase will take, whether it be manga, anime, or something else, but he stated the plan will feature several forms of media.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection opened on February 9 in 120 theaters in Japan. The movie debuted at #5 at the Japanese box office, and earned 286.65 million yen (about US$2.59 million) in its opening weekend. The film has since earned more than 1 billion yen (about US$9 million) as of late March.
Funimation will screen the film in North America on May 5 (subtitled), and on May 7-8 (dubbed). The film will also screen in Canada: screenings on May 5 will be in Japanese with English subtitles, while screenings on May 9 and 10 will be English dubbed.
Director Goro Taniguchi and many of the key staff members returned for the movie. The film's story begins in the world two years after Zero Requiem. The story is complete in one film, serving as a finale.
