Mika Yamamori Ends Tsubaki-cho Lonely Planet Manga's Main Story in 13th Volume

Manga about poor girl working as housekeeper for reclusive novelist began in 2015

The 12th volume of Mika Yamamori's Tsubaki-chō Lonely Planet manga announced on Thursday that the manga will reach the end of its main story in the 13th volume, which will ship in Japan on March 25.

The manga follows Fumi Ohno, a girl who is evicted from her house due to her father's debts. She takes a up a job as a live-in housekeeper for a popular, but reclusive, novelist.

Yamamori launched the manga in Shueisha's Margaret magazine in May 2015. The mangaranked #5 on Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) 2017 list of best manga for female readers. The manga has more than 3.35 million copies in print.

Yamamori's Hirunaka no Ryūsei (Daytime Shooting Star) manga inspired a live-action film in March 2017.
