Manga Creator Ugeppa Passes Away at 44

2nd chapter of creator's Hounds Tokushusei Hanzai Shitei Sōsa-bu debuted in September
Takeshobo's Web Comic Gamma website announced on Thursday that manga creator Ugeppa (U.G.E) passed away on October 23 due to acute heart failure. Ugeppa was 44. A wake and funeral was held for close family members.
Web Comic Gamma has been serializing Ugeppa's Hounds Tokushusei Hanzai Shitei Sōsa-bu manga (seen right), which adapts Makiya Natsume's original novel. The website published the second chapter on September 30, and staff are discussing the future of the work with Ugeppa's family and Natsume.
Ugeppa's other works include 8.1 Yamada Yūsuke Gekijō, Macross Plus -Tac Name-, and Little Challenger Wake Up, Girls! -side I-1 club-.
