Ace Attorney Gets New Manga Series in V-Jump Magazine

posted on by Alex Mateo
Manga begins serialization on September 21

This year's October issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine revealed on Tuesday that Naoyuki Kageyama is launching a new Gyakuten Saiban (Ace Attorney) manga based on the Ace Attorney anime and CAPCOM's game series in the next issue on September 21.

Kageyama's previous Gyakuten Saiban: Sono "Shinjitsu", Igi Ari! manga series launched in V Jump magazine in March 2016 and ended in July 2017. Shueisha published the manga's third compiled book volume in September 2017.

Gyakuten Saiban ~Sono "Shinjitsu," Igiari!~ Season 2, the second anime season based on the Ace Attorney (Gyakuten Saiban) game series, will premiere on October 6 on YTV and NTV at 5:30 p.m. JST, the same timeslot as the first anime. It will replace My Hero Academia, which is currently airing in this timeslot.

The first series premiered in April 2016 and covered the first two games in the series. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and Funimation released the series on home video.

Kodansha Comics previously published Kenji Kuroda and Kazuo Maekawa's Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney manga, as well as the spinoff Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney manga.
