Galaxy Angel Z BD release launches on October 2

Anime News Network's coverage of Anime Expo 2018 is sponsored by Yen Press.

Right Stuf and Nozomi Entertainment announced at their panel at Anime Expo on Saturday that Nozomi Entertainment has licensed the Galaxy Angel A, Galaxy Angel AA, and Galaxy Angel S anime, and will release those anime on Blu-ray Disc. The company also revealed that its release of Galaxy Angel Z will be available for pre-order starting on Sunday, and will ship on October 2.

The Galaxy Angel Z release will include all 19 episodes of the television series, a clean opening video, a clean ending video, a commercial collection, and a "Now I Get It!" Galaxy Angel Lectures Featurette. Nozomi Entertainment's Galaxy Angel Z release will include both English and Japanese audio. Bandai Entertainment previously released the series in North America.

Nozomi Entertainment describes the story:

The five Galaxy Angels are back with a mission for more gut-busting laughs! For their newest assignment, the girls must investigate a haunted mansion - but as it turns out, it's a hideout for thieves. Later, Ranpha receives free tickets to a wrestling match, but ends up facing Great Muscle, the strongest man in the universe, in the ring! Then, Milfeulle and Mint pick up a tribal leader who happens to have a costume of a fabled creature for the tribal festival. Mint can't help herself… She puts on the costume, and ends up the village celebrity!

The series premiered in 2002 as a sequel to Galaxy Angel, which Nozomi Entertainment released on Blu-ray Disc in February 2017.

Galaxy Angel A and its sequel Galaxy Angel AA aired in 2002-2003 (the first 26 episodes aired under the title Galaxy Angel A and episodes 27-52 aired under the title Galaxy Angel AA). The 12-minute Galaxy Angel S special originally launched in 2003. Bandai Entertainment released Galaxy Angel A and Galaxy Angel AA between 2005-2008, and released Galaxy Angel S in 2008.
