The official Japanese Twitter account of Lionsgate's Power Rangers film revealed two new cast members for the film's Japanese dub on Wednesday. The new dub cast members include:

Arata Furuta (One Piece Film Gold's Kent Beef Jr., Ancien and the Magic Tablet's Watanabe) as Zordon

Ryōta Yamasato (Eiga Precure Dream Stars!' Karasutengu) as Alpha-5

The film will open in Japan on July 15. Previously announced dub cast members include Ryo Katsuji (Origin: Spirits of the Past's Agito, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie: A Wakening of the Trailblazer's Descartes Shaman) as the Red Ranger, and Alice Hirose (live-action Silver Spoon's Aki Mikage) as the Pink Ranger.

The film opened in the United States on March 24. The film has earned an estimated US$84,234,169 in the United States and a worldwide total of US$134,759,902 as of Sunday.

Saban Entertainment founder Haim Saban said in an interview with Variety in March that there is a "six-movie story arc" planned for the franchise if the film is successful.

Lionsgate describes the film:

Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

Dean Israelite (Project Almanac) directed the film. John Gatins (Kong: Skull Island, Real Steel), Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama (Dracula Untold), Max Landis (Chronicle), and Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller (X-Men: First Class, Thor) wrote the film's script. The film stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, Ludi Lin, R.J. Cyler, Becky Gomez, Bryan Cranston, and Elizabeth Banks.
