Viz's Shonen Jump Adds Robot × Laserbeam, We Never Learn Manga

Viz Media's digital Weekly Shonen Jump magazine added Tadatoshi Fujimaki's Robot × Laserbeam and Taishi Tsutsui's We Never Learn manga as regular series beginning with this year's 20th issue on Monday.
The two manga were among six new series Viz Media previewed in February and March as part of its "Jump Start" initiative. In the initiative, Viz Media's digital Weekly Shonen Jump anthology publishes the first three chapters of a new manga simultaneously with the Japanese release. Based on reader feedback, the digital anthology sometimes adds the manga to its permanent lineup.
Viz Media's Shonen Jump also added Riichirou Inagaki and Boichi's Dr. Stone manga from among the new titles. The other manga were Yūji Kimura's U19, Hitsuji Gondaira's Demon Prince Poro's Diaries, and Ryūhei Tamura's Hungry Marie.
Robot × Laserbeam centers on a boy who is nicknamed "Robo" because he shows no emotion and acts like a machine. When his only friend tries golf and is bullied by more experienced players, Robo accepts a challenge to take up a golf club himself, and his methodical nature works to his advantage.
Fujimaki serialized his Kuroko's Basketball manga in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2008-2014.
We Never Learn centers on Yuiga, a student who is aiming for a scholarship because he comes from a poor family. His school gives him a condition: he can have a recommendation for a scholarship if he tutors his two beautiful classmates to help them get into the schools of their choice. Ogata may be a science genius and Furuhashi a literature prodigy — but Ogata is aiming for a liberal arts school and Furuhashi is aiming for a science school. And they're both clueless outside their fields of expertise.
Tsutsui is drawing the Nisekoi spinoff manga Magical Pâtissier Kosaki-chan, and also wrote the Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Sweets Honey spinoff manga.
