Prince of Tennis' Tezuka, Fuji Release 1st Duet CD Single in 9 Years

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

The official website for The Prince of Tennis franchise announced that the "Tatoeba Ima..." (Now, For Example...) duet single will debut on March 1. The CD will feature character songs performed by Kunimitsu Tezuka (Ryōtarō Okiayu) and Shusuke Fuji (Yuki Kaida).

This single marks the first time in nine years that the duo are performing a duet single. Tezuka and Fuji's last single, "Koko de Bokura wa Deatte Shimatta" (We Met Here by Chance), debuted in February 2008.

The single will include "Tatoeba Ima...," "Yume no Saku Basho" (The Place Where Dreams Bloom), karaoke tracks for "Tatoeba Ima...," and "Niji ~'Der Regenbogen' Version~" as a bonus track. The single costs 1,345 yen (about US$12), and retailers are accepting pre-orders now.

Hyōtei Academy's Ryō Shishido got his second solo character album last September after a ten-year wait. Fans chose from the franchise's 800 unique character songs to vote for their favorites last year.
