Like any collector, I detest when I pay a lot of money and end up with a bootleg.
I want to purchase the film "Mind Game." I want the original, uncut japanese film but with english subtitles. Does anyone know if yesasia is a reputable retailer: http://www.yesasia.com/us/mind-game-normal-edition-japan-version-english-subtitles/1003878240-0-0-0-en/info.html If you have bought "Mind Game" - where did you get it, and at what price? Thank you! |

I've bought manga through YesAsia before. They appear to be authentic Japanese volumes. o.o My only complaint with the site was the long time between placing my order and delivery (about a month, both times I ordered). Then again, I chose the free shipping option, so I guess I asked for it.

I bouth the third Kara no Kyoukai movie (LE) about two years, and the process went without a glitch. The item was in perfect condition, though it did take a while for it to arrive to me (I also chose the free shipping option).

YesAsia is legit, but I bought my Yuasa stuff (Kaiba & Mind game so far, hoping for a FUNi release of Tatami) from Chaos who usually have AU DVDs at pretty decent prices and don't kill me on shipping either. Be sure you can play DVDs of their specific region before making a purchase though.

Okay, so this site seems legit. Has anyone ever bought this specific title? I am finding conflicting reports online whether it actually has english subs or not.

YesAsia.com is a legit online retailers. Though every once in a while, they somehow get bootleg titles on their listings (or iffy ones like TW Eng subbed release of Candy Candy).
As for Mind Game, I got mine via Madman Ent. (R4). I can't remember what I paid for though. EDIT: checking through CD Japan,..., the reg and LE versions list with English subtitles. |

YesAsia is almost as legit as one can get, as far as online retail. (Right behind the actual original distributors and licensors.) It's been around for over a decade. You're safe.
You might be better buying it directly from Madman. At least you'd be absolutely positive that it had English on it, one way or another. Buying it from YesAsia MIGHT decrease shipping times, because there's headquarters in the States(assuming that's where you're located). Luckily, I don't have to worry about the language problem, too much. EDIT: Zepysgirl and Fireaxe are El Chepos too, eh? Hey, we're in tough economic times. People should not judge us. |

Oooh that madman set seems more reliable and is a better price!
Thank you for that! And I always choose free shipping when I can. May take longer but time is money, as they say. |

I own the official Japanese R2 release of Mind Game, and it does have English subs.
