Guess this is for people and guests who won't be at AX.

Fixed that for ya. Cause who knows what a Chicago con has to do with one in Cali o_0

Woah, ACen is in April next year? Are they crazy?

No, AX, really. AX is just the weekend before and ends on the Monday. Doubtful anybody would do it 2 straight weekends, 2000 miles apart, especially on a short week.

But you can't compare this microscopic con with AX. Heck, this is the first time I've even heard of it. I thought Anime Midwest was a St. Louis convention.

Just take a look at their community forums. The last post is from 3 months ago o_0

Whereas comparing them to ACen, the traditional late spring con for the Chicago area makes a lot more sense.

But ACen, you said is in April. I'm just using time and distance constraints. People and guests can both go to ACen and AX, or ACen and this con. This con is for people and guests who won't be at AX.

"We're so excited to be closer to downtown this year," said Molly, one of the convention's organizers. "And we still have free parking, and we're right by a train stop."

I would love to understand how Lisle, IL is close to downtown Chicago.

Train as in "Metra" not "CTA". If I'm looking at the maps correctly, based on the address, the Lisle, IL Metra station is 3 miles away from the convention location. That's a bit far to walk.

The convention is not very accessible to folks that do not drive, so I'm not sure promoting it this way is a good idea.

It would probably be a good idea, now that they have gone public to update their website with the information for 2012.

just sayin'.
