So that means the supposed "victim" framed Daman by using Daman's Facebook account to send messages to himself, did I get that right? What's going on here? And what will happen to Daman and his career now?

I don't want to go deep in this, but maybe Mills threatened "Duncan" even more to force Duncan tell ANN this so that Mills still has fans' trust ?

This may be a possibility, nevertheless, Daman’s still a creep for being in a “consensual” relationship with 16yo when he was 21 but WHY lie about some shit like this? |

It is possible that Daman did this to where Duncan was actually molested but Duncan is lying about lying. It is also possible that Duncan made the whole thing up and Daman was falsely accused. Those screen-shots could also be fake or real. Still such a relationship is creepy. I honestly see it really only working in fiction, especially anime/manga but even then it is subject to criticism and at times rightfully so. This whole thing has been such a giant mess and I'm too exhausted at this point to go into it much further. Unless all the screenshots were fabricated (wasn't sure based on the wording if it was just the claims or everything + evidence as well), it sure seems like Daman was still pursuing a minor as an adult. But at the same time the damage from the more damning allegations is already done, especially with a certain crowd being by far the most vocal about the entire thing.
And if I feel that exhausted just reading all this, I can't imagine how the ANN staff involved in this piece feel. |

My take away from all this is don't have sexual relationships with 16 year olds even if it's technically "legal" in your state.

What an exhausting week this has been. I feel for the ANN staff. I feel for Daman. Duncan should be ashamed.
In the end, hopefully Daman's friends and roommates (I'm fairly sure he lives with some people in casting and other voice actors?!) will help him and we won't see him cancelled from the industry for these false allegations. He is too well connected for this to hold him down, and his chosen family will stand by him. I would hope. He has been treated unfairly. |

He was jealous for feeling abandoned so he aired "dirty laundry" for spite? Don't get me wrong, I've actually seen this happen personally with a friend of mine (guy dated coworker but was cheating on him with another. Coworker sent a report to HR that he sexually harrassed her after they broke up, but the investigation kinda didn't look good for her and she ended up getting fired). So... Like yeah I can see if someone went out of their way to fabricate, and maybe Mills had enough evidence that was shared with the law firm to presume his innocence. I'm still creeped out by the whole story in general, but this is unfortunate and a waste of everyone's time and mental energy. Everyone involved needs some serious therapy going forward. It’s worth pointing out that legally relationship doesn’t mean dating. You have a tenant relationship with a landlord. You have a client relationship with an agent. I suspect all his lawyer was saying is that that their continued contact and association was consensual. (And just to clarify, the age difference between them is four years, not five. I've seen persistent confusion about that, and Duncan's age they met in person (16 not 15) online and in the comments). |
