It's still crazy to think that this is Gotouge-sensei's first manga. The sheer impact this has caused in such a short amount of time is truly astounding.
I eagerly await for sensei's next work!

Gotouge did have several one-shots published in Weekly Shonen Jump before, but this is their first full-length series. Still pretty amazing how much this particular series blew up, though.

Even back in 2001 when TIME did the interview with Kazuki Takahashi talking about how Yugioh exploded and took over Pocket Monsters, they never said anything about Takahashi being an influential person. Yugioh was bigger than KnY is now, but because anime is more welcomed now, they can add mangaka to the list. There are many mangaka who should have been listed before Gotouge.

It's true though.
Without Ufotable producing the anime, Demon Slayer's success and popularity would be nowhere close to what it is.

Don't get me wrong I like the manga, but I really don't understand why it is SO popular. Maybe it gets particularly awesome later on (In italy we're at volume 10), but right now it's "just" a nice and fun Shonen. Nothing that warrants such a incredible success!

Understandable but at same time without the content and material from the manga which is Demon Slayer, doubt any anime as of late would get this close to the success that is Demon Slayer. Seems a tad bit unfair to just say "Without Ufotable" when Demon Slayer was actually doing quite good in the Weekly Shounen jump rankings during its run in the past.
