I suppose they can't confirm it yet, but I'd like to think the fact that they premiered the first episode in English means that the plan is same-day dubs again.

Sorry if it was answered anywhere but is Crunchyroll going to be streaming season 4? I'm sniffing around the web but not really getting answers. I don't have Funimation or Hulu, and I heard that Crunchyroll and Funimation parted on bad terms.

Crunchyroll will probably end up announcing they have the streaming rights the closer we get to the air date.

Funimation will also stream an English simuldub at an as-yet unannounced date.

If it's any date other than October 12 it can't exactly be called a simuldub, can it?

So far, no. To my knowledge, it took a while for dubbed episodes of My Hero Academia S3 to show up on Hulu. They recently added the first half of Fruits Basket 2019 dubbed on Hulu, but the second half is exclusive to Funimation for now.

Same-day dubs or Instadubs are a form of simuldubbing like the ones that air a few weeks after the Japanese broadcast.

The article does not specify how long episodes will be locked behind a paywall or if they will ever be available to view for free on Funimation streaming. I am assuming My Hero episodes will eventually be available for free, but my assumption could be wrong considering how Funimation removed My Hero from Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll put MHA back on their site and they streamed all of the last season without issue. They've also been co-streaming other Funimation shows even after the split that are still on going like Attack on Titan and the Magical Index franchise. Funimation and Crunchyroll know more fans rely on Crunchyroll than Funimation's service to watch the most popular shows so I'm sure they'll stream the new MHA episodes on Crunchyroll too. But Funimation has the master license for MHA so they're naturally going to announce it first.
