Nice, looks like they poured quite the amount of effort into making this. Just a few more months of waiting left but I think it'll be worth it.

Everything that I've seen so far looks pretty fantastic. Somehow the wait doesn't even seem that long at this point. There is so much else to watch and do that it's only ever been in the back of my mind, but every time I get an Update email, the content has been more than encouraging and exciting. The OST sounds fantastic and I've learned a lot about the production throughout. Really cool to get small comments from Ishii and Ando as well. Definitely excited. Very Happy

I'm trying to remember if I backed this. I should have. Maybe they'll screen a bit of a trailer at Otakon if they're in talks. I'll have to make it a priority to attend such a thing.

How long is this? Also will they do the same for each episode?

Looks interesting. Let's hope it's not going to suck story wise.

I do hope they successfully pitch this for a full show. We need more of these old-school shows in action.

The video looks spetacular.

It is a 24 minute episode, out of a planned 26 episode TV show. But the others are going to be funded afterwords in the traditional. This is supposed to be a pitch demo, they said they have had offers for funding, but they turned them down as they claim they would loose creative freedom.
So the idea is they show this and go "Hey look a lot of people really wanted this and gave use a lot of money for it, if make more episodes you will make money too. We will let you fund it if you give use 100% creative control".

Animation does not look as good as that first promo. Not close, WTF?!

I've not kept up with the updates, sans getting a kick out of the super-deformed comics of the main girl and her dog, which are always cute. I honestly don't remember what tier I backed; I think it was for the physical disk, about $30. Minus that producer switch kerfuffle, glad to know things are running swimmingly.

If they are able to sell this as a full show somewhere, I hope they can continue to work freely and creatively. Hey, Netflix, your chance to have an honest-to-god "original anime series" and not simply be a broadcaster is staring you in the face!

Does anyone know if this is going to be purchaseable? I did back the project but would love to support it!

No, kpk's right. Go back and watch the original promo clip, it looks way better than this. This just looks... generic.

Yeah I prefer it, the other one had to many effects, and the characters in this look more organic.

After just watching the two trailers side-by-side, I agree with people saying the original looks better. The whole motorcycle chase sequence and the dropping down from a high altitude action scene provides a lot more tension and excitement than just merely running around shooting. This new one just feels a lot more tame compared to the grittiness of the first one. Hope the motorcycle scene comes back in some capacity.
