I hate dubs inconsistencies like what they're doing with Puriya.
Use the voices Aniplex used for UBW, dammit. Japan cares about keeping VAs, why not America? |

I'm a fan of Kira but I still refuse to watch. I really couldn't stand the dub of season 1, very miscast. I find the dub one of Sentai's worst.

I like Kira Vincent-Davis so I'm happy
 Have it ordered and can't wait to watch it and the dub when it arrives Saw a bit of the S1 dub and thoroughly enjoyed it. Too bad it'll still be awhile before S3 and it's dub will be released

I'm honestly surprised that they bothered to dub Season 2. Is there actually an audience for this? It's not that I don't like change. Aniplex's UBW dub made a whole bunch of cast changes but they were all very thoughtful ones. I loved Bryce Papenbrook as Shirou. If you ask me, he was a much better pick for Shirou than Sam Riegel.
But even if I put aside how little her performance resembles Kadowaki or Sheh's, Martinez was not a good pick for Illya. Neither were any of the casting decisions for that matter. It's the sort of dub that makes me feel bad for the people watching the show in English for the first time. Or at least it would if the show itself was any good. |

that is and will never gonna happen. it cost sentai a crapload of money to get the bang zoom VA to reprise their role for the unlimited blade works movie and i highly doubt their gonna do that even though anything related to the fate series needs to have an exception considering how well the dub cast from the 2006 FSN series was which was why lee and seph was kept to reprise their roles as rin and illya respectfully for the TV series (though every dub fan agreed they also should have kept o brien as archer). and considering on how the series have now gone into the loli/yuri fanservice side like with madoka magica and with nanoha , (which started the whole yuri magical girl crave) i really really cannot see any of that cast from the 2006 FSN series or the Uftoable series in this series now that it have entered into the uber loli/yuri fanservice mode which is what those uber pandering otakus wanted in the first place.
that there is a good question cause no one really knows why is there a casting change and there is a lot of rumorville happening in other forums. one of them is that its kinda the same way how josh grelle replaced the previous VA for issei for the high school dxd series (where it was told that VA retired from acting). i really cant see beth retiring at all unless its to start a family of sorts,though never say never. However,unless sentai or someone official says anything otherwise, always take anything you hear at half value. |

When you have multiple licensors and have various talent pools, such inconsistency might be a reason why some people stick to the Japanese. That's why I think it would make more sense to have AoA handle the licenses at a Funi-level price/boxset and with as much of the Geneon cast as they can.

I kind of get the feeling that you might be exaggerating the amount of rumours going around, but is this really something worth speculating about? The change isn't even that big of a deal and the actual reality is almost certainly mundane. She was probably just pre-occupied with something else and wasn't in a position to come into the studio that day. |

The Fate franchise is crazy in English becaus it's never been licensed to just one company to have consitent dubbing. *sigh*.
