Mhmm... Not my best bets but Inuyasha and Kagome made the roster...
Nice news, made me happy...

Ishikawa, is this guy versatile? Cause he can't do comedy afaik... Plus Marina Inoue, I thought her era already ended... Well, if she played Sakura cute, then all is fine...

I think I prefer CM cast. MC design just screams Kouki Uchiyama, IMO.

I'm personally in your boat, although I always imagined Miyu Irino in the role, ever since I started reading the manga in 2009. I'm not blown away by this casting, but I always imagined Yukino as Tamako, so good job on the grandma and dad front.

I'm not familiar with the source material but I think Ishikawa is amazingly talented, his portrayals of aloof, emotionally unapproachable characters is always on point. I've loved him since he did Ledo in Gargantia, and he's been great as Kageyama in Haikyuu. I'm looking forward to this

I'm a bit disappointed that Uchiyama Kouki has been replaced, but Ishikawa Kaito has provided acting with depth before, so it sweetens the news somewhat. (Although I expected a bit arrogant Rikudō Rinne, a la Amagi Brilliant Park's Seiya Kanie)

Given that Inuyasha might be Takahashi's most popular work, I can see it being appropriate that he be in another Takahashi work.

Wonder if they'll get Ocean to do the English dub, and Richard Ian Cox to dub for Kappei Yamaguchi. Razz

I was wondering if Yamaguchi and Yukino were coming along for the ride...and now they're playing the MC's dad and grandma respectively. This is going to be different for Yamaguchi. I mean, holy crap, say what you will about Ranma or Inuyasha but they never reached Sabato's levels of scumminess. I think the only other character I've seen him play who's come close to being that disgusting as human being is L.

Wow. Kappei Yamaguchi is in an anime based on a work by Rumiko Takahashi. What's next? Is Johnny Depp going to be in the next Tim Burton movie?

To quote Tom Cruise in that episode of "South Park:" "You keep casting Kappei Yamaguchi and you use the same crappy romance clichés in your stories and you haven't had an original idea since 'Ranma 1/2' and if you love Kappei Yamaguchi so much, why don't you just have sex with him already?"
