Lol, I didn't know this was getting a manga. Oh well, Takao is the breakout character of the series so it'll be fun to see a lot of her.

This must mean they will be glossing over at least some part of Takao's time at the academy. I am happy to see her get more attention though, as well as more time with Zuikaku, in her brief stint she was quite an intriguing character, even if alligned with Yamato.

Spin-off and two anime movies for Arpeggio of Blue Steel?
*Manga: Solty Road sounds like it will be slap-stick comedy, with drama mixed in there as after thought. Least how the article wrote it. Is it being done by the same people as core series? I hope its as good, but a situation rom/com sort thing i don't think will work, specially with Takeu dedicated to her "Captain". I-402, i'm not sure. I guess we see if she gets personality, i thought, Iona was the one who went to school.
*Animated Films: I wonder what the second film is going be based on. I missed the June announcement for the movies. 1st film a re-telling of the television series, while the second film is new content / sequel to 1st movie. I wasn't very happy with last episode of the television show, with near off screen action of the American Fog fleet being sunk. Hopefully, films will improve things.

Someone has to say it, so let's get this over with:
I wonder how much KanColle's popularity has anything to do with pushing for more Arpeggio.
(Not that it is a bad thing, I loved the series)

Maybe a little, but it's not like Arpeggio was bust or anything since it still sold a large amount of BDs. All of the fanart and doujinshi effort definitely went to KanColle alone, though.

Ugh, i forgot about that factor. I'm not fan of KanColle, but i guess that what helps sales of Arpeggio go, they have go along with it. I like the less moe/more serious story line of show than fanservice / less-realistic crazied KanColle thing is. I personally KanColle is a passing fad, given couple years they'll switch gears to next thing. I hope Arpeggio can out live that by taking itself realistically seriously, while still having girl avatars in it.
