the credits list a dual directorship of Hayao Miyazaki (who did the fantasy sequence) and Yoshifumi Kondô (who was the "lead" director, I think). Miyazaki-san did the screen play, etc.

Would love to see it on the big screen (long ways from getting my dream home theater put together, lol).

You forgot to mention that Charles "I hate Laputa and no anime can please me" Solomon as well as the dub cast will be at the Aero screening.

You are right.

Yes, Miyazaki did direct the fantasy sequence and wrote the screenplay (and hence the ending) but it was Kondo who led the project. ANN made a mistake again.. this is sad. Kondo passed away after Mononoke, and he was slated to take over Miyazaki as one of the lead "creators" as well. Never got his name out, and this ANN mistake reflects that.
