In anime, hilarious gags work BECAUSE it's animated. Dunno how a live action would go.

So the plot is that girls come into the school, join the school, and one of the guys falls in love...

Did the directors even READ the original manga?!

That skirt gag was hilarious in the the anime.....not so much in the movie. It just loses its charm.
