Konami's 4K Acquisition Corp.

I still find it funny they made a company to buy out 4Kids' stuff.

Actually, they were set up before this whole incident happened. It's just that they had the unfortunate nature to have a similar name to that of 4Kids.

Took seemingly a very long time, but 4kids finally sold off Yu-Gi-Oh. I bet the Yu-Gi-Oh fans are very happy about this.

But Konami is a pretty decent company, so maybe they can fix any damage 4kids did to the Yu-Gi-oh series. That will be one heck of a feat for Konami though, power to them though.

So does this mean i'll be able to watch Power Rangers on Saturday mornings on basic cable again? Laughing

But yeah wondering if Saban will just keep airing the same stuff as 4kids, or mix their own stuff with it, maybe acquire some other stuff as well...hmm.

You have to admit, it's a weird coincidence that two companies called 4K and Kidsco just bought out 4Kids.
I mean... if there never was a "4Kids" company already, what would a name of joint venture between the two be? Kids4Kco? KKKKids? hmmmm.

Spastic Minnow, I am sure the parents of these kids who would watch this Network would be less than pleased if they tried doing that as a abbreviation. I somehow doubt the investors and networks would have something to say about that as well.

This is one of those times in life where there is a weird coincidence though.

On ravegrl's website, she said the first 41 episodes Zexal were bought by 4Kids, so I assume they'll be dubbing up to that point. After that, who knows how Konami will handle the series.

1 - Is it over? The yu-gi-oh transaction is over? What about the rest of their stuff?

2 - What ever happened to the Digimon rights?

Disney had Digimon last, and now as far as I know no one has it, I guess it reverted back to TOEI/TOEI USA, so maybe SABAN could try to snatch it back up, but I heard the Masters were lost, heck even Mad Man just used Fox-Kids rips for their DVD sets.

Is Nickelodeon not basic cable? Power Rangers airs every Saturday morning on Nick.

It's a shame 4Kids has been suffering on a death bed for so long. I thought they would come up with a more sustainable business plan when Toonzaki and Toonzai were announced, but both were underwhelming.

I wonder how long they thought they could go after losing so many important licenses. Pokemon was the first blow, but when they dropped Ninja Turtles too I was confused.

This is a joke right? Konami's a pretty terrible company. They treat their fans like trash, milk a small handful of franchises constantly, release games with absolutely no marketing at all, and throw hissy fits when the press calls them out on it.

Yup, it was confirmed during RangerCrew's recent interview with Saban Brands at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.

4Kids

Yesterday, Ira Mayer tweeted that Saban Brands is acquiring the 4Kids Cartoon Block. This investment is going to open more opportunities to spread the love for Power Rangers. Despite the heavy promotions on NickToons, the viewer count is fairly limited because not everyone has Nick/NickToons. Fans have been able to see Power Rangers (Samurai, Super Samurai, Jungle Fury, Dino Thunder, and Ninja Storm) on NickToons. This fall, Saban Brands plans to show 1-2 Power Rangers episodes every Saturday during the 4Kids block. There will be one dedicated season at a time.
