I'm thinking the specialists from the Monogatari Series should count here. They can even get a god out of you.
There are doubles of a couple of entries in the new poll.

It would have made sense to have the article be called "The List - 7 Excellent Exorcist Pairs and Individuals" as there actually 9 listed.

This another typically case of the ANN staff have never seen more than a dozen anime in their life and completely leave off many classic and well known exorcist characters.
Its the typically lets slap down some names from the most recent shows, throw in like one old show and one obscure show to gain some "credibility" and call it a day.
Look its a fair show, but Rokudo is on this list? Over things like Tokyo Ravens. And where do you have classics like Ghost Sweeper Mikami? Yu Yu Hakusho? Really?

No Shounen Onmyouji characters? Come on, that series exploits Onmyouji more than any show on this list since it takes place during its prime, even Abe no Seimei was featured in it.

This is hilarious. You think I could run this column for five years if this was actually true?

Another person remembers this show! I almost put it on here.

This list kind of lacks a sensei. A Nube-Sensei, to be precise.
As for gross out anime, I chose for Black Lagoon and Fist of the North Star, because they are fun to watch first and gross second, just the way I like it. For the third choice I'm a bit conflicted. There's a Hellsing, but I'm not sure if it refers to the series (which I didn't really like) or the Ultimate (which I liked a lot). So I decided to put Hellsing: Ultimate as the other choice.

There are scores - if not hundreds - of worthy options out there. I don't see what the problem is with her choosing a set that's representative of different genres and styles. She's just saying that these are good examples, not necessarily the best or only ones.

Mushi aren't really demons, and many of them don't need to be exorcised (and they're not evil or malevolent or anything like that), but would Ginko from Mushishi be considered an exorcist in a sense?

Based on the anime, Yukio Okumura is NOT an excellent exorcist. If I am ever in need of a blue exorcist, I trust hot-headed Rin more than his, prone to becoming an evil asshole, brother.

Of course, Mob Psycho 100's Reigen is *clearly* the most talented ;D

No, not really. Dude, what article were you reading? Rokudo wasn't on the list (though he could've been). Did you misread Rokuro and rage quit before you finished it? oO She can't include everything, that's what the comments are for, to throw out titles you think of. Jeez, chill.
I'd add Seiji Matoba and his clan from Natsume's Book of Friends. He's a right bastard, but he's good at his job, as he sees it.
About 2/3 of the poll list I would not call "grotesque," even though they might have violence. Even at that, I added Shigurui Death Frenzy, which I wouldn't recommend as must-see, but is definitely grotesque if that's what you're after.

Rokuro's the male lead of Twin Star Exorcists. Benio's the female lead.
As for anime exorcists, I'll mention Kekkaishi, one of my favorite classic shounen series. I loved seeing all the different ways that characters used barriers.

Duh. I knew that, honest. It was also in the article, which I did read. oO I guess my brain was rattled by Klown's baffling post. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Fixed, thanks!
