It's poor form to judge the entire dub from just these four half-minute clips, but Sentai's not doing itself any favors by streaming those previews.
What I really want to know is who's directing this.

I have watched the first two episodes and found them fine. Rikka during the fight scene at the end of episode 2 was good. Emily Neves is directing

Wow! I was way off the mark. I mean , I thought Monica Rial would have been great as the voice of Rikka. As for the voice of Yuuta, I believed either Blake Shepard or Clint Bickham would have fit the role nice.
What do you guys think?

This kills the ears.
Well, it's Sentai so this wasn't very surprising. I wonder how much they pay for their dubs, as they certainly come off as cheap... It's quite a shame too since the JP cast did such a great job and really brought life to the characters
E: That LE set they're releasing looks surprisingly good though...

Well, I'm just hoping that anyone other than Chris Ayres is in charge of this show...
As for the voices...
Yes...I'll just wait for the show to air to hear how good they actually sound.

I'm a big fan of most dubs, but Sentai's really are the bottom of the barrel.

I think it was mentioned on Fandom Post that Emily Neves is directing it.

In that case, then, I'll certainly give Chuunibyou a watch.
Thanks for the info!

Apparently a bunch of people already have their copies (dat Right Stuf shipping). Kinda makes me wish I preordered it sooner just so I can put more of my two cents on this
I've seen two Emily Neves dubs. Watamote, which I thought was good. Currently watching Maid-sama, where the main characters are good, but the side characters are majority weak (sounds like they recorded their dialogue for all episodes in a matter of a day).
As for this, I cant say they really sound that bad on their own, but they definitely dont sound how I expected or really reflect the Japanese voices. Sometimes that can be a good thing, sometimes its bad. Its always kinda hard to tell with clips. I will say its not favorable sounding so far (I know "Moe" is kinda hard to do in English, but Rikka should at least have a bit of a cuter voice in English), but I'd still be willing to watch an episode or two to see how it all sounds when its all properly put together

Just got mine in today, and i gotta say i was really surprised when rikka opened her mouth and i heard a deep tone. I watched about two episodes and it doesn't really get better, so i switched back to subs......
On a positive note: the box set is [expletive] awesome!!! Sentai is finally doing some nice quality releases! Definitely worth the buy, even if the dub wasn't very good.

Though most of my subbed anime is watched muted, I do find the first voice to be unfitting (from what I've seen from the the clips).

Curious about how good the box is - is it thicker or equivalent to the sets released by NISA?

Sounds like Karbowski was a good choice. I'd have to hear more of the others to completely make up my mind.
I know both directors and actors want to take different angles every now and then, but Rial would've been an awesome Rikka...
