Wow, and I was recently thinking about getting around to picking this up. Good thing I held off.

They should even if it is sub only, cause the story would feel more complete

It's really dumb how "Ex Machina" is linked to Appleseed in this article right now.

Hell yeah! Oddly enough I was going to ask that for this weeks ANNcast, but didn't expect to get much of an answer.

Really needs the OVA. Lack of Blu-ray wasn't what was stopping me form buying it.

Hmm. I already have the 1st DVD. Not sure if I'll get the blu ray or just buy part 2. Gonna depend on price and content.I have a feeling it'll probably be like Index where the bluray had both parts together.

Finally! I've been waiting for this since the DVD's were released, but I had a feeling Funi was going to release it in BD, someday.

If it has the OVA, I might double dip.

It mentions that Katsuhiko Takayama worked on Baka & Test. This makes sense with this article since the dub voices of Yukiteru and Yuno also played in that dub.

I'm glad I didn't get this and deadman wonderland on dvd when they released. The wait for the blu ray is worth it.
Now if we could only get .hack//SIGN, Trigun and FMA 2003 on Blu Ray
If you could give the blu ray treatment to serial experiments lain, Im sure these older shows deserve it too

Honestly did not care for this show the first time I watched it. It made me laugh, which, considering the content, left me a little unsettled. But I might give it another chance for a blu-ray release; and if they could remove some of those censorship blurbs, that would be even better.
If a show is trying to be gruesome, let it be!

I might consider double dipping if it has the OVA. If not then I won't bother.

Huh, never noticed / forgot that this was DVD-only to begin with. Kadokawa strikes again, I guess.

Trigun might work if Madhouse does a film rescan and allows Funi to use it, but .hack//SIGN (2002) and FMA '03? Definitely going to be upscales that might not even look better than DVD. Not all older shows are created equal -- late 90s anime like Lain and Trigun were done on film/cels (though Lain had a fair amount of digital effects), but nearly all early 00s series were done digitally in SD. So essentially, there's pretty much no reason to pine away for Blu-Rays of ~1999-2007 anime when there's no guarantee that the Blu-Rays will actually be an improvement over DVD (audio quality aside).
