Thanks for the posting code, can't post without it, so this will be it for me until this gets fixed.
I noticed it when I posted a reply at 10:13 PDT this morning. Everything was fine until the post went up, but when I went to edit it, there were no buttons to do so. I thought maybe the thread had been locked while I was typing. So I went to the Anime page and the little bell icon was not locked, so I clicked on the last post and was able to edit. That's the last I've seen of the buttons. In other words, the problem seemed to take awhile to cascade across the forum, i.e., it didn't happen universally all at once.
I am using Firefox 27.0.1 on an Intel Mac running OS 10.6.8. Safari 5.1.10 also does not work.
Good luck! Since it hasn't been fixed yet, I guess it wasn't a simple problem.

Wow, wasn't expecting this to explode when I left for con.
I can confirm that the problem exists on the 3DS browser as well, but I'm not sure what that browser is.

@Dormcat Thanks for the link.
Same issue here. First thought it was my browser screwing...
Ok, as mentioned IE11 seems to work fine.
For Chrome, as also said, opening a page in a new tab/reloading(repeat if necessary) seems to work.
Though one note on Chrome, I have the add-on FlashControl, and noticed the trick doesn't work with it enabled.
So Flash involved?
Except, Firefox has the latest Flash enabled, version 13, and ANN still won't work, not even if I disable ABP, NoScript, Ghostery, BetterPrivacy and QuickJava (though the settings in those shouldn't affect browsing ANN normally either...)

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but I am having the same problem on my iPhone - I also have to reload a page a couple of times to get the post/edit/quote etc buttons to load and the banner linking to the home page at the top of the isn't there. Like everyone else pictures and emoticons do not load.

What's weird is last night I needed to refresh a page in Safari before I could see any of the buttons, but this morning I don't. Firefox is still a no-go.

It seems to be fixed on Firefox, or at least temporarily working. I can see avatars, various forum images and the post button. Crisis over?

I'm on Google Chrome and yeah everything seem to be back to normal, I take it the guys at ANN fix it right.
Anyway, I'm glad they got it fix.

For me it has been working normally for the last two hours, so I am going to assume that the problem has been fixed.
I want to give a sincere "Thank You" to everybody who worked on fixing this. It obviously was not as simple as it seemed that it might be when I first noticed it.
I am definitely curious about what caused this. If it is possible for anybody to provide some information I would appreciate it.
And thanks, again.
I also want to thank the people in this forum who provided tips on how to work around the problem.
I am definitely saving those for possible future use.

Yeah, that is a lot of mystical waving. Twenty plus hours of it.
