Even though ADV shows anime every Tuesday at the Alamo Draft House, I don't think they have a monopoly for the place.
Most ADV fans are Funimation fans too so please feel welcomed to add FMA movie dates to Houston!

Nice! I'm close to both NYC and Philadelphia, so I just need confirmation on the Philadelphia showing to know which one I should try to get to. Sweet!

Any word if the movie will be shown in Hawaii?
Considering the large homegrown anime fanbase in the islands, it should do fine here.

Any chance at all of it coming to my end of California? LA's a bit too far for me. ^^;
If not, I'll just wait for the movie to be released on DVD.

Hey, FUNi guy, I have to ask this: why have none of FUNi's films had a run in Canada? I, myself, and many others would surly rush to see any [quality] anime films made available. Canada doesn't have the supply of anime that US does (kind of wierd, al things concidered) so, if even one [worthwhile] title were to play here, I'm sure it would probably attract quite the audience.

The reason there isn't a huge supply of anime in Canada is because the R1 distributors are based in and only distribute throughout the US. I think for Canada to get more anime, someone would have to start a Canadian-based licensing company and sublicense the dubs from the US (like the European and Australian companies do), except for Ocean dubs, since those are done in Canada.

Not true, practically all anime titles licensed for Region 1 are licensed for both the United States and Canada and, theoretically can be available anywhere in Canada, save for certain hentai titles that fall afoul of Canadian obscenity laws.
In practice, some anime distributors have far more efficient distribution in Canada than do others, but even the most "niche of the niche" Region 1-licensed titles eventually make it to some Canadian store shelves, even if it's just speciality stores in larger markets catering specifically to the fandom niche.
The lack of FUNi films on the big screen in Canada is presumably only because they haven't yet found a Canadian theatrical distribution partner (presumably Alliance Atlantis Vivafilm).

Right, because it's the company's fault you don't live near a theater.

It is quite the shame that the studio decided to drop Colorado Springs, CO from your final list. We had many local fans raring for a showing in southern Colorado. Tis a shame you decided northern Colorado was a better choice; for many of us in southern Colorado will not be able or willing to make that trek to Fort Collins, CO.

It's the ImaginAsian theatre, located at 239 East 59th Street, New York, NY, 10022. I can't wait to go. I'm ordering tickets online tomorrow, and then I'll be all set. Then all I have to worry about is my ride to NY, seeing as how I'm stuck down here in Jersey.

Is there any theatres in San Diego that will be playing the FMA movie? I live in L.A. now but two of my friends want to see it with me when I visit family in San Diego.
