I am half tempted to double dog dare Wolverine Princess to go to CAA, and ask about Eiken, saying, "Are these too big? Oh, and by the way I'm 13 years old and I love yaoi!"
I'm watching Najica Blitz Tactics at home, and I'm wondering how CAA would react to the non-stop upskirt shots. Also I'm wondering how the ultra feminists would react? Would it be the same reaction? Fire in the hole! Me, I am about 1/2 annoyed with the lack of looking at women from any other angle besides up their skirts. At least the story is ok. |

When I joined the forums, my impression was that it was a place for Christians to intelligently discuss their opinions on anime and manga, and what they think of controversial series, Evangelion in particular, and how it relates to their faith. Maybe they'd even let me in on some super-obscure Bible allusion in Eva I didn't pick up on. (Yes, I realize most of the religious elements in it are purely there for decoration, but it's fun to see people get really into psycho-analyzing the series and picking out what particular demons the robots are based on even though an interview with character designer guy in the back of volume one of the manga said he just made something up out of his own imagination, the number of times '666' is found on walls and hidden in the background in Death and Rebirth; you know, all that good stuff.) Sadly, that was not the case at all.

Er, no, jaybug39 is not 13. The "I'm 13 years old" remark was in quotation marks. His age is closer to the number at the end of his username, if I'm not mistaken. [EDIT] Heh, this is almost like a post race with Wolverine Princess. I'm catching up again! |

Dude, I'm 42. The line I wrote was to be Wolverine's line to CAA, see it's in quotes.
@ Wolverine Princess, it seems there are plenty of people here who are at least somewhat biblically literate, and could have an intelligent conversation with you. Tempest seems to be quite knowledgeable. But I'm like you, I probably missed a lot of hidden references, at least most of them,as there were so 2x4 over the head obvious ones to make you not think of trying to find little ones. @blue pita, I do believe that some sects or more Old Testament than others. And let's not get me going about Baptists, the founder of their church burned the founder of my church at the stake. |

Oh well, I quit this pointless argument. I can't see what's morally wrong about putting restrictions on your own website, and saying whatever you want about it, on your own website. I don't think I ever will, because I don't think there's anything wrong with it, and that's not going to change. Ownership is ownership, you have every right to do what you want on your site.
If people went there expecting different, and found there were restrictions, that's really not the sites fault. |

Ahh I see, yeah that would definitely make for some interesting discussions. Religious aethethics and their appeal to other cultures, definitely a curious phenomenon worth pursuing PS: I don't get all the Bible quoting either, happens on most other christian forums too. Imagine if we started quoting entire scenes from animes in all our discussions here to make a point |

This thread on a user's hentai addiction caught my attention.
Poor boy, he probably typed this up after his first taste of tentacle rape. Most of the posts here were just seven pages of "I'll be praying for you!", but this post caught my attention. I disagree with the line about how most people think hentai doesn't really hurt anyone, but, in this person's opinion, it really does because people will try to act their fantasies out. Hentai doesn't hurt anyone at all outside the curious viewer who had no idea what they'd be getting themselves into and suddenly find themselves in a world of bodily functions that should REMAIN inside the body (I'm not a hentai watcher, but I've heard some pretty terrifying things about Princess 69). The people involved are cartoons so viewers don't feel guilty about watching something where the people involved could have contracted deadly STDs or where actual children were harmed. Sure, a few nutjobs may try to act out what they see in their porn in real life, but these people are insane, and probably also highly influenced by anything they see in the media, read in books, or hear from friends. They probably would have eventually committed sexual crimes down the line even if they hadn't been exposed hentai; it could have been anything that triggered them. Any sane person with a sense of self control can stop themselves from committing a sexual act that will physically hurt people in real life. Hentai DVDs come with stickers on them that say, "ABSOLUTELY NOT FOR CHILDREN" and stores won't sell them to anyone without an ID, right? By purchasing this type of anime, you agree that you are a responsible adult that can handle this type of material. (The person who started this is nineteen, by the way.) Okay, just to make things as clear as a bell, I am NOT saying that discussion of pornography should be allowed on this site. The "no hentai allowed" rule is a good restriction for a family friendly site, because the forums are frequented by minors and exposing children to pornography is illegal. |

I don't even get the point of a topic about CAA...This is 15 pages of whining about 'Christians can't even discuss their taboos' that I'm reading, right? Ok, they're brainwashed. But it's not because some folks here on ANN complain about it that they will suddenly turn into very smart, analytical and intellectual people. Their mods have reasons for all these rules, I suggest you talk about it with them on IM just to see for yourself. Myself, I am not religious at all, and find it pretty ridiculous, but it's not as if they suddenly took control of the ANN forum or anything. |

Pft, he ain't seen nothing yet. Relatively speaking in the world of hentai and H-manga, tentacle rape is tame (Although, what he saw probably wasn't even as bad as that). Whoever would try to act out what they see in hentai would probably believe that pulling out the "baka hammer" and whacking someone on the head with it is a safe thing to do. After all, they'll just get spirals 'round their eyes, and get back up moments later.
...and then Freeza said "Goku you are strong" and Goku said "Freeza you are strong too" and Freeza raised his left arm and Goku raised his right arm and pulled back his left arm in a Kamehameha stance and then Freeza moved an inch downward and Goku pulled his hands back another inch and and Frieza turned his head in a negative twelve degree angle to the left... Dude, all you've been saying is this: it's their site, let them do as they like... Here's my analogy for this... Let's say you are the newest dictator of an independent country, how about.... China, (ignore all the other forms of power ). You being the 'dictator' and all, you ban all "offensive" forms of free speech...(because it leads to hostility)... Yet you draw people from different countries by spreading the word that you are a country who seeks to better understand religion.... but because Christianity causes heated debates; you eventually outlaw all talk of Christianity... This defeats the purpose of what you proclaimed was the mission of your country... and essentially, you 'lied' to your fellow citizens... Which is "immoral" in my eyes... Similarly, by what you just said you could also kill a hundred people a night to pass your boredom... and according to your statement you wouldn't care because it's their country, right? (a huge exaggeration, I know), But my point still proves valid.... How does all this relate to C.A.A.? This is how they define themselves...
It is in my opinion that they could better accomplish their goal by allowing civil discussions on controversial issues... such as NGE.... In fact, they should encourage discussions on controversial shows such as these to "impact" the lives of people... Very few shows are as life-impacting as NGE... And if these are truly their goals, (or goal, whatever), don't you think they're shooting themselves in the foot. Again, just my opinion though... |

This is me:
Except 'La Blue Girl' was the first thing I ever saw The next title which did indeed involve such bodily functions, made me sick, literally (well... to be honest... I HAD drank a lot that night probably just pushed me over the edge ) Well I'm glad you see it's just a difference of opinion OnePieceFANatic. You may not see anything wrong with the way people treat their property, but I hope everyone treats everyone and everything with the same respect and high moral ground I try to exhibit myself. Noone debates her (the admin) right to censor discussion on her own site, as it is her property, I just think it is immoral to do such, even out of laziness (and I'm a REALLY lazy person). |
