So from you're saying, only people who like low-brow titles can be called true Anime fans?
Riiiiiiight . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . whatever you say, bub.

So it has my two favorite things in one sis-con and harems. My body is ready for this one. Hopefully it keeps me interested.

Is it just a given that Ayana Taketatsu will have a voice in any show involving sisters?

That's because, in Japanese, it IS "Syogo". It would normaly be romanized as "Shogo" for some slightly complicated Linguistics reasons involving palatalization and allophonic distribution.
But in Japanese, his name is "Syogo".

Why is it that some devotees of these kinds of shows are usually the ones to whip, "true fan," out? I might decry shows you like as, "bad," but I'll never try to disqualify you or excommunicate you. I am not the Pope of Otaku (Popetaku?) and I would never recognize one. Why not return the courtesy? Is being and 'anime fan' truly defined so narrowly and absolutely in your mind?
This is one of those things that make me wonder that if for some people, watching certain kinds of shows is about showing fealty as much as enjoying them.

That's essentially true, but it stands out because of the inconsistency. His name is given in Kunrei-shiki, but the rest in Hepburn. Why Syogo, but not Konoe Turuma and Rinka Kunitati? It's unimportant and the points of difference few, but it is a curiousity.

Yes, you're right about that...I've talked with some people about it and I've heard that the Japanese don't always romanize names correctly or really actually care that much sometimes.

The lack of anal retentiveness offends me. How dare they.

Actually, KissXSis had the hot teacher who is still a virgin, the twin-tailed Loli who liked to flash her panties and the busty glasses-wearing girl who peed herself a lot. So yeah, more like KissXSisx1, except this time there is a Russian Roulette aspect to it.
Hmm, five girls seems to be a popular number for Harem shows. Possibly inspired by Super-Sentai series?

Anyway, how hard is it for Syogo to check all the girls in the cast to see who has the most physical traits in common with him?
Or, shit, I dunno, ask a hospital or something? do these LN writers ever even THINK for more than two seconds so plot holes this ridiculously huge don't show up?

IT'S AWWWWWWWWWWWRIGHT!
Wait, no... no, it's not. The fact that it's in the title as well looks like a flag that whoever he chooses will be his little sister, because that's what is expected of a show like this, and because imouto otaku are weird.

To me, a true anime fans loves any kind of anime without resorting to the tired "anime is dead/dying/sucks/otakus smell" schtick. But I find there's a difference between an "anime fan" and "someone who just happens to watch anime". A little kid watching some 4Kids dub of Pocket Monsters or Cowboy Bebop on Adult Swim I wouldn't put on the same level as I would someone who routinely watches 20+ shows each season.
