I'm going to have to agree, the two worlds seem to be clashing. .. unless they find some way to cleverally weave the two worlds togethor logically. |

Eh, what "two worlds"? We've never seen the whole world, only a small part of it that is made up of a few cities and surrounding villages, an area that's probably no bigger than Japan is in our world, they might take up a whole 5% of their world. Any maps we've seen only show off a small, squared off are, but no world maps that I've seen. There's still a lot of room for many other cultures. As for the technology bit, I don't know why some of you think the technology is something so blazingly new, it's been there since the first issue of the manga in Shonen Jump nearly 5 years ago. Haven't you ever noticed the miles of wires running from house to house just in Konoha? They're very advanced in ways that they need to be, but we're left to believe that no amount of weapons technology is better than a well trained ninja. Emerje |

Ya know, spoiler[I think it was in the fifth manga volume that I saw a survelliance camera system (like the ones used in a Vegas casino) being used in the second part of the exam, the forest hunt. ] I guess that this whole thing is a little something called creative license. As long as there aren't any Jeff Foxworthy-style redneck jokes or an Appleseed-style futuristic utopia, there's nothing to be worried about. Gawd, am I giving ShoPro any ideas??? |

Hopefully, ShoPro doesn't have that much power about what happens to the series. =P I'm looking foward to this movie. I never really saw the first movie, but this one has me more intrested. The series could use a bit of variety (other than that of ninjas, the only other style they've shown in the entire series is that of samurais, who have mainly been pretty lame and weak. =P), and I think that some western implication is just perfect for jolting up the series. Although, I think I remember reading that they gave the knight some japanese name, which is kinda strange. As for technology, it exists. I think in some interview or something I read, it said that the world of Naruto has basically most all modern technology, except for modern artillary. No guns or tanks exist (at least so far), but most other technology is still existant. |

man, you guys are REALLY wrapped up in this stuff. the number one thing to remember is this: Naruto is fantasy, which means you are suspending disbelief already...why not stretch the limits to the furthest point if it's going to make for some awesome battles, strategies, quotes, and jutsu/ninpo displays!? i say, the bigger and crazier, the better. the movies allow full deviation from the plot of the series, so they SHOULD be more fantastic, right? i understand some of you wanting to keep the world of Naruto believably unrealistic, but it IS anime...

First off, I never noticed you before. Welcome to the boards, mang. Secondly, you make some valid points here. As I mentioned, as long as nobody says "If direction to your house include 'Use your Chakras to turn off the paved road'... you might be a redneck Narutard", it won't bother me in the least. |

Man I'm really looking forward to this new movie, I wish the first movie would hurry up and come out Wonder who that guy on the poster is, the one who has a dotless sharingan, pretty crazy. The mini trailor on the naruto.com page looks nice, great animation and a kyubified rasengan!!! Can't wait untill around next year to get to see it

The TV series is coming to Cartoon Network in the Summer. Friendly advice, you should clean up your grammar, it's a requirement here. Emerje |

I love the fact that they will give Shikamaru and Gaara prodominant parts in this film... both of whom are awsome. I also like that "cultural clash" with the whole ninjas and knights thing... it reeks of awsomeness.
Anyone seen the teaser trailer on the official site? *drools at the animation* that Rasengan just looks plain badass. Im very excited about this film.. more so than the first one. |

I also like the fact that the movie focuses more on Shikamaru and Gaara (my favorite character). I'm also glad that Sasuke doesn't show up.
Kishimoto-sensei did mention that when he planned Naruto, he put in "technology", so it makes perfect sense that they have movie cameras, seeing as they have television. Not that Naruto would be boring without technology, but it makes it more interesting. Also, the thing with the knight-like guy...I guess we don't know the whole story with that, but it has something to do with a theatre and "the illusion of the ruins in the depths of the earth". |
