Fight! Iczer-One TV Airing Censorship Isn't Even Trying
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Fight! Iczer-One is a sci-fi OVA blending gruesome visuals and nudity like only straight-to-video anime of the 80s could. Originally released in 1985, the show got a recent television broadcast in Japan to celebrate it's 30th anniversary. The broadcaster in Kanagawa ran into some problems with the the frontal nudity, though. Instead of adding the now common carefully placed steam or shafts of light, they just went with fully blacked out bars.

The problem showed up again when the pilot of the robot is shown nude in the cockpit.
