PriPara 3D Anime Film's Trailer Streamed

PriPara TV series switching timeslots to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays

The official website for the Tobidasu PriPara ~Miina de Mezase! Idol Grand Prix (Spring Out PriPara ~Aim for the Top, Eeeeveryone! Idol Grand Prix) anime film began streaming a trailer on Saturday. The film will open in both 2D and stereoscopic 3D versions in Japan on October 24.

The website also added two new key visuals:

The first 100,000 people who see the film in theaters in Japan will receive a QR code for one of three "outrageous summer adventure" matching outfit parts (pictured below). Advance tickets sales for the film began on Saturday. Special advance tickets include a QR code for an "Eeeeveryone Spring Out! adventure" top or matching outfit.

Unlike the first PriPara film, the second film will be shown in stereoscopic 3D. The first film allowed fans to enter a drawing, and the winners had characters appear in the film's ending sequence. The "My 100 Characters Runway" campaign will continue in the new film.

The website also announced that the PriPara television anime series will change timeslots. Instead of airing on TV Tokyo every Saturday at 10:00 a.m., the anime will air every Monday at 6:30 p.m. The series will keep its current broadcasting schedule through September 26 and begin airing in its new timeslot on October 5.

The SUPER☆GiRLS idol group's ending theme song "Mune Kyun Love Song" debuted in the PriPara television anime in July.

For the first anniversary festivities, the franchise is hosting a PriPara Fuwafuwa Live Stage (PriPara Soft Live Concert Stage) amusement area at various locales throughout Japan this summer.

The story of the television anime revolves around Laala, an elementary school girl who wants to become an idol in PriPara, a sport that judges girls on their song, dance, and fashion. The invitation to the sport is through a PriPara ticket. Even though elementary school students at her school are not allowed to become PriPara idols, through many events, she passes the audition, and becomes an idol.

The first anime series inspired by SynSophia's arcade game for girls premiered in July 2014. The franchise's first film, Gekijō-ban PriPara Mi~nna Atsumare! Prism Tours, premiered this past March, and the second season premiered in April.
