Kodansha Comics Adds Queen Emeraldas, Complex Age, Forget Me Not Manga

Kodansha Comics announced at its panel at Otakon on Saturday that it has licensed Leiji Matsumoto's Queen Emeraldas, Yui Sakuma's Complex Age, and Nao Emoto's Forget Me Not (Soredemo Boku wa Kimi ga Suki) manga.
Matsumoto launched the Queen Emeraldas space opera manga in 1978 in Weekly Shōnen Magazine after publishing a one-shot in Monthly Princess in 1975. The manga "follows young man Hiroshi Umino after he sneaks aboard a spaceship in order to leave Earth." Kodansha will publish the series in two large-format hardcover volumes. Each volume will include more than 400 pages. Kodansha Comics plans to release the first volume in July 2016, marking the first time the manga is being published in English.
Oriental Light and Magic produced a four-episode video anime adaptation in 1998-1999. ADV Films released the first two episodes in North America on DVD in 1999 with an English dub.
Yui Sakuma's Complex Age manga "offers an in-depth look at the life of cosplayer Nagisa Kataura as she gets older and tries to keep her beloved hobby a secret." Kodansha Comics will publish the series in special large-format paperback books starting in June 2016.
sakuma. published an earlier one-shot of the manga in Morning in May 2013, and the one-shot won a Tetsuya Chiba award in 2013. sakuma. then launched a serialized version in the same magazine May 2014. This year's 27th issue of Morning published the manga's final chapter on June 4. Kodansha published the fourth compiled volume in Japan on May 22.
Emoto's Forget Me Not manga is based on a novel by Taiwanese author Mag Hsu. Kodansha Comics describes the manga as follows:
Serizawa was walking home from work one day when he was struck by a truck. Woozy and injured, he remembers a woman taking him to safety. It was someone he recognized… but who? It's a romance manga with a dose of mystery!
Emoto launched the manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in December 2013, and then switched the series to Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2014. Kodansha published the fifth compiled volume in July.
Kodansha Comics will release the first volume in English in March 2016.
