Quick Reminder: AVCon 2015 on This Weekend

South Australia's yearly AVCon will be kicking off in the Adelaide Convention Centre from Friday the 17th to Sunday the 19th of July. Special guests include voice actor Jennifer Hale and cosplayers Yaya Han and Eve Beauregard.

  • Cost: Weekend tickets are $65 at the door, Single day tickets are $45 at the door.

Jennifer Hale

While Jennifer's anime voice acting roles might be a small list, with the notable roles being Jean Grey in the 2011 Madhouse X-Men series and Electra in Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, her video game career more than makes up for it most notably with Commander Shepard from Mass Effect, Naomi Hunter and Emma Emmerich from Metal Gear Solid and Samus Aran from the Metroid Prime series. Jennifer has also provided voices for a large list of Japanese games including (and not limited to) Grandia II, Killer7, Dark Cloud 2, Tales of Symphonia, Soulcalibur IV, P.N.03 and Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits.

Jennifer will be hosting a panel at 3pm on Saturday and 1:30pm Sunday in the AVCon Main Hall. You can see Jennifer's signing and photo schedule here.

Cosplayers

Cosplayers Yaya Han and Eve Beauregard will be in attendance as special guests over the weekend running Q & A panels, attending the cosplay competition and of course taking photos and signing autographs. You can view their schedules here.

    • Sunday 10:30am - Living your dreams (It's a terrible mistake!). Panel Room B.
    • Sunday 2:30pm - AVCon Cosplay Competition. AVCon Main Hall.
