Gaming commentator Max voices lead for May anime adapting comedy manga

Kachidoki Studio began streaming the first promotional video on Sunday for Nar Doma, the anime of Kometokaite Meter's Narudoma manga.

Narrator: Hagito is a disappointing hot guy who is completely narcissistic. Wherever and whenever, his mirror is his best friend. Around him are lots of unique friends: The super, super, super masochistic Kei, and the superhuman strength-wielding girl Totono, the corporate slave who is way too fashionable Saito, and the super negative Rock. Even the one normal guy has his own problems. Nar Doma the super-popular gag manga on Comico has been green-lit for an anime!
Narrator: Nar Doma. Finally starting up in May!

Takeshi Onaka (Nyanpuku Nyaruma, Nukko.) will direct the anime at Kachidoki Studio with music by Masaya Koike (ULTRA-PRISM composer, Genshiken 2 soundtrack.) The cast will star Japanese gaming commentator MAX as the protagonist Hagito, as well as Atsushi Miyazaki as Kei, Emi Hirayama as Saitō-san, Toshimitsu Oda as Rock-san, Yūto Adachi as Mono, and Yuu Kahara as Totono.

The anime will premiere in Japan in May.

The title Nar Doma is a combination of two Japanese slang meaning "Narcissist" and "super masochist." Meter began serializing the manga on the free Comico manga app in 2013, and it updates with a new chapter every Wednesday. The first compiled volume shipped in January.

Comico had announced last month that five anime adaptations of its serializing manga have been green-lit. The Narudoma and Super Short Comics anime are slated to premiere this spring, while the Momokuri anime is slated to debut later in 2015. The Nambaka and ReLIFE anime adaptations are slated to premiere in 2016.
