The wrap-around band on the fourth compiled volume of Kazuto Okada's Ittsuuu manga is announcing on Wednesday that Okada's Sundome is being once again adapted into a film.
The film will premiere in Japanese theaters in March, and will begin streaming over the internet at the same time. The cast includes model and idol Hiroko Kamata as Kurumi Sahana, and gravure model Rina Toeda as Kyoko. More details will be announced in future issues of Akita Shoten's Young Champion magazine.
The coming-of-age love story follows the sexual frustrations of the members of the Roman Club, which tries to preserve the virginity of its members through high school.
The first film adapting the manga premiered in 2007. The cast starred Atsushi Ninomiya as Hideo Akeba, Akane Suzuki as Kurumi Sahana, and Kana Tsugihara as Kyōko. The manga ended in 2009 with a total of nine compiled volumes, and Yen Press publishes the manga in North America. Okada is currently serializing his Ittsuuu manga in Akita Shoten's Young Champion magazine.
