NightCry Gets Extended Gameplay Trailer, New Stretch Goals

Kickstarter for 3D point-and-click adventure PC release almost halfway funded
The official YouTube channel for Clock Tower game developer Hifumi Kōno and Ju-on/The Grudge film director Takashi Shimizu's point-and-click horror game NightCry began streaming an extended gameplay trailer on Friday. The game is slated for release on PlayStation Vita, smartphones, and tablets.
The creators are also running a Kickstarter to port the game to PC via Steam and Playism, recently adding US$450,000 PlayStation 4 and US$550,000 Xbox One stretch goals. The Kickstarter page is also streaming a video of Shimizu playing the game and a sneak peak of the game's hair physics.
As of press time, the Kickstarter has raised US$150,331 of the needed US$300,000 to port the game to PC and enhance the graphics. The project's previous stretch goals are US$400,000 for more ways to die, and US$475,000 for an extra playable character.
The story of the game is set aboard a luxury ocean liner. In this enclosed space with no escape routes, the first of a string of brutal murders occurs. As the list of victims grows with no end in sight, the player must attempt to survive.
Kōno announced this new horror game project at Tokyo Game Show 2014's Indie Stream Festival. His independent studio Nude Maker is developing the game, Masahiro Itō (Silent Hill's "Red Pyramid Thing" and "Bubble Head Nurse") is designing the creatures, and Kiyoshi Arai (Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn) is serving as art director. Nobuko Toda (Metal Gear Solid) is in charge of sound and is composing the music with Michiru Yamane (Castlevania: Bloodlines).
