The second season of the Baby Steps sports anime will begin airing on the NHK Educational TV channel on April 5 at 5:30 p.m. JST, with new episodes airing every week on Sundays at 5:30 p.m. JST. The Rose of Versailles anime is also set to rerun on the NHK BS Premium satellite television channel starting on May 6.

The Baby Steps television anime is an adaptation of Hikaru Katsuki's manga of the same name, which revolves around Eiichirō "Ei-chan" Maruo, a punctual and earnest boy who has strived for straight As since elementary school. The 15-year-old high school boy stops by a tennis school to deal with his lack of exercise. There, he meets Natsu Takasaki, a beautiful, earnest girl who only has passion for tennis.

The first anime series premiered in April. Pierrot (Naruto, Kingdom) animated the first television series with a total of 25 episodes. Katsuki himself collaborated on the creation of episodes with original stories not told in the manga. Kenji Saitō (Dennō Coil, Bakuman, Bottom Biting Bug) produced the anime for NHK.

Crunchyroll is streaming the series outside of Japan.

The Rose of Versailles television anime first aired in 1979, and is an adaptation of the Riyoko Ikeda manga of the same name. The story is set in the intrigue-filled court of Queen Marie Antoinette before and during the upheavals of the French Revolution. Lady Oscar is a young woman raised as a man to serve in the palace guards.

Right Stuf released the 40-episode anime in two limited-edition DVD sets in 2013.
