Snow Shoveling Robot Makes Winter Work Cuter

Yukitaro is Hokkaido's little snow shovel that could. The cute yellow robot likes nothing more than to eat up the dangerous winter conditions, giving the house-cleaning Roomba robot a run for its money. Yukitaro has a yellow body reminiscent of Pikachu and sensors, cameras, and a GPS that keep him from plowing over pedestrians. He might even build you an igloo.

Yukitaro isn't a new addition to the Hokkaido workforce, but his charm was only recently noticed by internet denizens. The robot prototype is a relief to workers in Northern Hokkaido, an area of Japan that gets heavy snowfall every year.
