Idol Group Berryz Koubou Goes on Hiatus Indefinitely Starting Next Spring

Idol group Berryz Koubou announced at the Hello! Project 2014 Summer ~Korezo!~ concert at the Nakano Sunshine Plaza on Saturday that the unit will be put on hiatus indefinitely starting in spring 2015.
Hello! Project idol group Berryz Koubou formed in 2004, and celebrated their tenth anniversary in January. The group currently consists of 22-year old Saki Shimizu, Momoko Tsugunaga, Chinami Tokunaga, and Maasa Sudou, 21-year old Miyabi Natsuyaki and Yurina Kumai, and 20-year old Risako Suga. Kumai just celebrated her 21st birthday on Sunday.
Berryz Koubou has performed theme songs for Inazuma Eleven and Patalliro Saiyuki, as well as the main theme song for the Futari wa Precure Max Heart 2: Yukizora no Tomodachi feature film.
