Trailer introduces 3 alternate settings for the dating simulation game

Koei Tecmo began streaming a trailer on Wednesday for the spin-off game series Kin-iro no Corda 3 Another Sky (La Corda D'Oro 3 Another Sky) for PlayStation Portable, which will take place in alternate timelines where the protagonist, Kanade, becomes a student in one of the rival schools from the original Kin-iro no Corda 3 dating simulation game. Three versions of the game feature the schools: Jinnan, Shiseikan, and Amane Gakuen.

Kin-iro no Corda 3 Another Sky feat. Jinnan will ship on January 23, and Kin-iro no Corda 3 Another Sky feat. Shiseikan and Kin-iro no Corda 3 Another Sky feat. Amane Gakuen are planned for spring 2014 or after. A "treasure box" edition of Kin-iro no Corda 3 Another Sky feat. Jinnan, including a photo library, drama CD, soundtrack, mini character fastener accessory, and mini character picture book, will ship simultaneously. All three games will feature a fully-voiced story.

The original Kin-iro no Corda 3 game originally shipped in Japan on the PSP and PlayStation 2 systems in February 2010. A fully-voiced special edition, which will also include new events and still images, will ship in Japan on September 19.

Yuki Kure adapted the game into the manga series Linden Hall no Aria -Kin-iro no Corda Series-, which ended last month. Kure also adapted the first Kin-iro no Corda game into a manga, and Viz Media published the 17th and final volume of the original La Corda d'Oro manga in North America in May.

The game franchise also inspired a television anime series in 2006, and a television special sequel, La Corda D'Oro ~secondo passo~, aired in spring of 2009. Sentai Filmworks licensed and released the series on DVD in North America, and Crunchyroll is streaming both anime. Voice actor Yūya Uchida's manager reported on Sunday that work on an anime adaptation of Kin-iro no Corda 3 has begun.
