Photos follow the first week of performances in London.
The facebook page of The Whole Hog Theatre Company has put up seven new images from the stage adaptation of Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke (click each image for a larger picture). The images show puppet versions of such non-human characters as the kodama, wolves, boars and Ashitaka's elk steed Yakkul. They also show the play's actors in costume as characters including San, Ashitaka and Lady Eboshi.
Last week, the play completed the first of its sold-out runs at London's New Diorama Theatre. It is due to travel to Tokyo for performances from April 29 to June 6, before another sold-out run at the New Diorama Theatre in late June.
