Aniplex USA to Rerelease Baccano! Anime on Blu-ray Disc

Aniplex of America announced at its panel at Anime Central on Friday that it will rerelease its Blu-ray Disc box set for the Baccano! television anime series. Aniplex noted that details for the box set will be announced at a later date. The company originally released the series in a Blu-ray Disc box set (pictured at right) in May 2011.
Aniplex's original Blu-ray Disc box set release mimicked a Japanese box set, but included the English-language dub created by Funimation for its DVD release. The anime adapts Ryohgo Narita's light novel series of the same name. Baccano! is set in 1930s New York, where a group of colorful individuals interact with alchemists and their elixir of immortality. Several seemingly unrelated plots begin to intertwine as the series continues. Funimation originally licensed the television anime in 2008.
