One Piece Creator Oda Designs Next Film's 'Z' Character

This year's combined 21st/22nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda designed Z, the "strongest enemy yet" that the Straw Hat pirate crew has faced, in One Piece Film Z.
The film, directed by Tatsuya Nagamine (One Piece: The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventure in Alabasta), will open on December 15. Eiichiro Oda himself is overseeing the production for the film as its executive producer. Oda previously oversaw the production on the One Piece: Strong World film.
Osamu Suzuki (Jungle Emperor Leo, Love*Com the Movie) is writing the script, and Masayuki Satō (One Piece Film Strong World, Air Gear) is serving as an animator. Yasutaka Nakata (Five Numbers!, capsule) is performing the theme song.
