Japan's #1 Selling Producer Tetsuya Komuro, Hatsune Miku Unite

"TK" makes 1st album with Vocaloid singers; gets "animated" for album cover

Tetsuya Komuro, Japan's top-selling music producer, is teaming up with virtual Vocaloid singers for the first time for the Komuro Tetsuya meets Vocaloid album this month. The album is one of four works that Tetsuya will release in the last two weeks of March.

The album's 11 tracks includes "Wow War Tonight ~Toki ni wa Okose yo Movement," "Departures" and other past hits by Komuro. 10 Vocaloid producers have re-recorded these songs with Hatsune Miku and other Vocaloid character voices. For example, "Love Is All Music," the song made famous by former Komuro protogé Tomomi Kahala, has been rearranged with Hatsune Miku's voice.

In addition, Komuro has been drawn in "animated" form for the album cover.

Throughout the 1990s, Komuro working with acts such as TRF (TK Rave Factory), Tomomi Kahala, Namie Amuro, Ayumi Hamasaki, Ami Suzuki, hitomi, Ryōko Shinohara, and H Jungle with t. However, his career hit a bump in 2008 when he was arrested for alleged fraud. He then received a three-year sentence, suspended for five years, in 2009.

Komuro composed the soundtrack for the first Vampire Hunter D anime video. He later contributed to the soundtracks of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo, Street Fighter II: The Movie, Zoids: Fuzors, and several other anime. Last month, he and other members of the band TM Network announced plans to reunite for concerts in Japan.
