Digimon Xros Wars to Host Return of Major Former Character

The February issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine is revealing on Saturday that a major former Digimon character will return in the ongoing Digimon Xros Wars: Toki o Kakeru Shōnen Hunter-tachi television anime series on January 8.
Spoiler (highlight the following white text to read) Taichi Yagami (Taichi Kamiya in English), the main character in the first Digimon Adventure television anime series, will return on January 8. However, he will appear as a new and powerful foe. Taichi was one of the DigiDestined who saved the Digital World before.
Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Newtype magazine had already revealed in September — before Digimon Xros Wars: Toki o Kakeru Shōnen Hunter-tachi started — that the new series will bring together characters from the previous entries in the Digimon franchise as Digimon Hunters.
