The Idolm@ster Anime, Animal Hospital Join Forces

Abiko Animal Hospital, Namco Bandai, Aniplex collaborate on poster

The Abiko Animal Hospital in Osaka revealed that it joined forces with Namco Bandai Games and Aniplex to create a poster featuring The IDOLM@STER character Hibiki Ganaha. The poster encourages owners to consult with the hospital for the health of their dogs and cats. In The IDOLM@STER games and anime, Hibiki has a hamster, a dog, and many other pets — but partly due to her bad habits as an owner, some end up leaving from time to time.

The collaboration is part of the ongoing "Real 765 Pro" project. The producers are offering The IDOLM@STER's cast for real-world jobs such as narrating television programs, appearing at store events, or acting as "campaign girls" for products — the same kind of jobs that the cast does within both the games and the ongoing anime.

The hospital cautions Idolm@ster fans that only part of the hospital staff put this collaborative project in motion; the rest of the staff are not intimately familiar with the details of the franchise and will not be able to carry a conversation about the games and anime.

In the games, the player manages the careers of several aspiring Japanese idol singers as a producer. The Xbox 360 version of The IDOLM@STER 2 inspired the recent television anime series that Crunchyroll is streaming in several countries as it airs in Japan.
