Yeti's Meltdown-Themed Root Double Game Resurfaces

posted on by Egan Loo
Xbox 360 suspense drama game went dormant after March quake, nuclear accident

The website for Yeti and Regista's Root Double suspense drama game officially returned on Friday after it was taken down three days after the March 11 Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster and the resulting nuclear power accident. The latest adventure game from Never7 -the end of infinity- director Takumi Nakazawa deals with nine people trying to escape a laboratory inside a nuclear reactor during a meltdown.

On the game's revamped website, Nakazawa apologized for the trouble, but emphasized that his team will try to keep the original story setting unchanged as much as possible. He also confirmed that the game will ship for the Xbox 360, but the release date is, for now, "to be determined."
