Supercell Album with Miku Tops U.S. iTunes' World Music Chart

After Sony Music Direct Japan began selling the Japanese pop band supercell's self-titled album on Apple iTunes' American store on Tuesday, the album topped the store's bestselling chart for world music. It is also Amazon's #2 bestselling MP3 album in the international category in the United States. "The World Is Mine" single from supercell with vocals by the virtual idol Hatsune Miku already ranked in the top 10 on the American iTunes' world music singles chart.
Anime News Network interviewed Ryo, the leader and composer of supercell, this week. Hatsune Miku will "perform" a concert at this year's Anime Expo in Los Angeles during the extended July 1-4 holiday weekend.
